I feel I have neglected the blog over the past two weeks but
life has been really busy with re-starting university and getting ready to
launch my new website for I Wheelie Can… I am glad though that I have been busy
as the time has flew by and this means less thinking about the IVF. My
acupuncture is going really well, last week I had some of the needles in my
head and face, I did tell you I would probably look like Pinhead out of Hellraiser.
Dave only had to hold my legs once and I actually fell asleep I was so relaxed. (Pictures below, I am still smiling because everyone smiles when they have got pins in their head, don't they?)
Yesterday Dave didn’t have to hold my legs at all, I was
super relaxed and the time flew by, I was actually enjoying myself and I never
thought I would say that having needles stuck in me would be enjoyable.
Friends have said that IVF will test your relationship and I
couldn’t really understand how, especially when as a couple you have decided to
have a baby but I have to say the waiting has been extremely hard and for me I
have felt isolated in this time, not because Dave is acting differently towards
me but because I still feel the subject is slightly taboo. I don’t want to keep
talking about it to everyone I just want to get on with things and it’s the not
knowing what’s going to happen at each appointment that is difficult. I described
it to Dave as sitting on a plane, knowing your destination but you haven’t
taken off yet and I think that would be the description I would use for anyone
else going through this process.
We had a six week wait until our first clinic appointment,
which felt like ages away but with life just carrying on it is now only two
weeks and I am really excited for our next appointment.
I will keep blogging as much as I can, especially when the
new website is launched as this is something I am very proud of and feel like
it could be a great next step to my business.
